Microsoft Envisioning Lab

What It Was

Microsoft created Envisioning Labs in Austin, Chicago and Mountain View. The innovative spaces are used to inform and demonstrate to clients, partners and employees new technology and software. The state of the art labs combine conference rooms, classrooms, and theatres.

What We Did

Lightswitch designed a flexible lighting system that has both theatrical and architectural elements. The design successfully meets the needs of presentation and video conferencing, but is also comfortable for presenters that are not used to the brightness of stage lighting.

Why It Worked

This design was successful due to the collaboration of designers and architects. Thanks to the open communication and coordination, Lightswitch was able to develop theatrical lighting designs that work well within this architectural installation.
