Lightswitch is working with architects Solomon Cordwell Buenz on the extensive renovation and transformation of this former Holiday Inn into a new flagship Marriott property in Naperville, IL.

Designed to evoke the glamour of the 1960’s, the ‘high tech retro’ décor will welcome guests to a unique lodging experience, with features such as LED ‘star ceilings’ at the entries and other interesting design details.

The property will combine high design with environmental responsibility, with a target of Leed Gold. Other responsible design highlights include extensive use of DALI control, and projected energy use significantly below ASHRAE/IES 90.1 2007 guidelines.

This project also combines fiscal restraint with project management efficiency by teaming longtime collaborators Lightswitch and Evergreen Oak to provide the client a ‘Design/Build’ approach.

The new Marriott Naperville is scheduled to open in the spring of 2012
