What It Was

Clybourn Point is a mixed use, LEED Silver, 4 story building in Chicago, with retail and parking space on the first floor, condos above, and an owner accessible green roof.

What We Did

Lightswitch used its extensive experience and familiarity with energy efficient fixtures on this project. They met the challenge of providing sufficient light for demanding areas like bathrooms and kitchens, while keeping energy use low.

Why It Worked

Lightswitch routinely makes energy efficiency a high priority. On this project, Lightswitch worked with the team to develop lighting controls which integrate with the alarm and HVAC systems. Centralized lighting controls reduce energy costs by making it easy to set programs for specific scenarios, and to turn all the lights off with one switch. Lightswitch was able to meet the lighting level and energy use requirements, and create pleasing environments at the same time.
