The serendipity of Lee Potter’s introduction to Lightswitch occurred as a result of her son’s longtime friendship with John Featherstone’s daughter Hailey. The parents’ discovery of their similar backgrounds in theatre and event production led to their collaboration on projects Lee was producing in Chicago, and ultimately to an offer for her to join Lightswitch. Based on her 30 years experience as a stage manager, production manager, theatre consultant and producer, she began as a project manager for Lightswitch Architectural. An early assignment to take on writing projects that were overextending busy staff came as a welcome opportunity for her to exercise the creative muscles she was using for her own freelance work. As her interest in the writing grew it dovetailed with the company’s interest in her corporate voice, and a happy match occurred. She now writes full time for Lightswitch, and delights in crafting prose that chronicles their work.
