A native New Yorker, John grew up immersed in the creativity and excitement of one of the most inspiring cities in the world. John is a recent graduate of the College-Conservatory of Music with a BFA in Theater Design and Technology.

John’s performance design experience ranges from Concerts to Musicals and from Dance to Opera, and his design for Die Fledermaus was selected for a USITT Ezekiel Award of Outstanding Achievement and Boards Choice in 2011.

When not creating memorable and innovative lighting design, John pursues his passion for ‘the other art of light’ – photography.
